Emmett Till, Michael Brown and the Ongoing Struggle for Racial Justice


Will the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown play a similar catalytic role that Emmet Till’s murder, and the acquittal of his killers, did back then? Will it spark the necessary action for racial justice in the United States which has never been effected? Brown’s murder by a Ferguson, Missouri, cop has, once again, provoked a national conversation about how far the United States has come in the quest for racial equality.
